21-Day ThanksLiving Challenge

At PDS, we believe Thanksgiving should be more than just a holiday. The Bible instructs us in 1 Thessalonians to give thanks in all circumstances. We want our boys to demonstrate thankful living on a daily basis. Building habits take time, motivation, and accountability.

This November we are incorporating all three elements into a 21-day ThanksLiving Challenge. Beginning November 2, we are asking first through sixth-grade boys to reflect and respond to the question, “How did you show thankfulness today?” We want our boys to understand that living a thankful life is much more than just a mindset…it’s also demonstrated through everyday actions.

Boys can demonstrate thankful living at home, at school, and in our community by saying thank you, writing thank you notes, praying for one another, and serving one another. Get creative! We can’t wait to see and hear about your acts of thankfulness.

21-Day ThanksLiving Challenge:

  1. Show thankfulness daily.
  2. Reflect and respond each day using the Be Thankful notepad.
  3. Bring your reflection note to school daily and post it in the main lobby.
  4. We encourage parents to share ways their son demonstrates thankfulness using #pdsThanksLiving on Twitter, Instagram, or Facebook. Follow the hashtag on social media to see how our boys are living thankful lives! We will be posting as well.
  5. Enjoy a dress-down day on November 26 to celebrate thankful hearts!

Be Thankful.
