Seeing an Error When You Load the PDS Site?

If you are seeing an “illegal variable error” when trying to load the PDS website, it is because of a corrupted cookie file on your computer. A cookie is file saved on your computer by a website to keep up with settings.

Here’s how you can clear the corrupted cookie:

1) Visit http://www.pdsmemphis.org/fix This page will tell the cookie to expire.
2) Then visit the main pds website: http://www.pdsmemphis.org If you still see the error, refresh the page, and it should be back to normal.

A Note About the Multiple Item Auctions

Pay special attention to the text decribing how these work. The auction software we are using sends out notifications that you have been outbid on these, and that is not always the case.

The software is looking for the highest bids, but we are interested the the highest bidders. If the auction has 4 items available, and 4 people are bidding on it, one of them may receive an email that they're out of the top bidders. At this point, you should take a look at the bidding history. As long as your bid places you in the top 4 bidders (which may not necessarily be the top 4 bids, since 1 person may end up with 2 of the top 4 bids, even though they only want 1 of the items), you'll be a winner.
