3 Great Sessions this Summer!

Summer 2012 marks the 25th Anniversary of the Dennis Smith Basketball Camp. During the past two decades, over 5,000 boys and girls have been a part of this exciting experience.

Coach Dennis Smith will once again offer the Mid-South 3 premier basketball camp sessions for over 250 recreational and competitive basketball players.

The camp is both educational and fun, offering fundamental basketball skills and game strategies for both the beginner and advanced player. There will be a low camper/instructor ratio to ensure the very best instruction for your child. Our camp staff will include area coaches and high school, collegiate, and professional players. DSBC is unique in that it stresses Christian ideals while providing a fun and safe environment for learning basketball skills, sportsmanship and teamwork.

Camp Activities:
Devotionals, Warm-Up and Stretches, Basketball Drills, Individual Instruction, Lead-Up Games, Films, Demonstrations, Offensive and Defensive Strategies, Motivational Tips, Shooting Work-Outs, Full Court Games, Team Concept, Sportsmanship

Special Events:
5-on-5 Tournament, Hot Shot Contest, Basketball Obstacle Course, Free Throw Contest, 3 Point Shoot Out, Autograph Sessions, T-Shirt Day, Awards and Trophy Day, Special Exhibitions by Collegiate and Pro players, Guest Speakers

General Infomation:
For grades one through eight, camp will begin each day at 9:00 A.M. and will end each day at 3:00 P.M. Each player should bring his own sack lunch. All drinks will be provided.

Over the past 24 years DSBC has been a proven camp for both recreational and competitive players. Make this summer one that your child will remember for years to come.

The PDS Lifetime Fitness Center was officially renamed the Tommie and Billy Dunavant Lifetime Fitness Center at a dedication ceremony held on Wednesday, May 16, 2012. Family members, faculty, staff and friends were on hand to celebrate the occasion.
