Brandon and Joe Morrison are willing to give. They have included PDS in their estate plans, specifying a gift in future years that will serve boys of future PDS generations. Joe is a PDS alum, class of ‘72, and has served as a member of the PDS Board of Trustees. He and Brandon have two sons who graduated from PDS, Joe Morrison ‘06 and Murray Morrison ‘10. Their willingness to step forward boldly to make a commitment to the long-term sustainability of the school by including PDS in their estate plans earns them the distinction as Charter Members of the Benefactors Society, a new giving society for PDS. Thoughtful planning like theirs is essential to sustaining PDS’ excellent tradition of preparing boys to be men of character, wisdom, and service in succeeding generations.
“We value the ways in which PDS nurtured our sons and prepared them for further schooling, but also for life. PDS helped both Joe and Murray develop a sense of confidence as well as a generosity of spirit and empathy for others. Seeds of growth in character were fertilized at PDS that we hope will make them better men.”

“Brandon and I decided to include PDS in our wills because,” Joe Morrison explains, “we value the ways in which PDS nurtured our sons and prepared them for further schooling, but also for life. PDS helped both Joe and Murray develop a sense of confidence as well as a generosity of spirit and empathy for others. Seeds of growth in character were fertilized at PDS that we hope will make them better men. We are pleased to be a small part of continuing the opportunities that our sons enjoyed at PDS for boys in future generations.”
Planned giving is an important giving choice because it is flexible and customizable. Giving options include making gifts of securities, life income gifts, retirement plans, life insurance policies, living trusts, annuities, trusts, personal property, cash, real estate and art. For many, an estate gift is the easiest way to make one’s most significant and meaningful gift. Through careful estate planning, individuals can provide special, personal, and often significant gifts that contribute to the sustainability of the school and most importantly, leave a legacy for others.
