Unit 18 Math Assignments for April 30-May 8

***Please note that this unit is only 6 days long to allow time for us to prepare for the Final Exam. Students will officially begin Unit 18, Tuesday, April 30. Before coming to class on 4/30, they will need to watch the tutorial on Unit 18 Day 1, Measures of Central Tendency.

Day 1, 4/30-Students should have watched the tutorial on Measures of Central Tendency before coming to class on Day 1, 4/30. Students will complete the checking in and practice problems in class. If you do not finish at school, then you will need to finish at home before coming to class on Day 2, 5/1. There is no tutorial for Day 2 as this unit lends itself to a lot of discussion.

Day 2, 5/1-We will have a discussion on Random and Biased Samples. They will complete a checking in and practice problems in class. If they do not finish their practice problems in class, they will need to do so for homework.

Day 3, 5/2- In class we will have a discussion and look at examples of misleading graphs. Students will complete a checking in and practice problems. If they do not finish their practice problems in class, they will need to do so for homework. For homework, students should be working on their practice test and or extra practice problems.

**Because of field day, we will not have a number day on Friday, May 3. If Field Day is moved to Monday, May 6 b/c of rain, Friday, May 3 will be Day 4 and Monday, May 6 will not be a number day.

Days 4 (5/6) and 5 (5/7)-If a boy did not finish his learning circuit work at school, he will need to finish it at home. Boys will also have an Extra Practice Problems page covering all topics (given out in class on Day 3) that will need to be completed and turned in by Day 5. Boys should also be working on their Unit 18 Practice Test. The practice test must be completed by Day 5.

Day 6 (5/8)-Boys will be assessed over the Unit 18 content.
