The first PDS Golf Tournament sponsored by the Alumni Association was held on April 19.

Despite the unusually cool temperatures, players enjoyed lunch and golf on The Links at Galloway.

Congratulations to the team of Brice Bailey, Michael Murphy, John Phillips V, and Michael Schaefer for a first place finish.  Michael Murphy also won the Closest to the Pin Award, and Gus Oyler had the Longest Drive.

The second place team was Chip Campbell, Ned Laughlin, Harry Sayle, and Jason Shelby.

Thanks goes to everyone that participated in such a fun Friday!

Congratulations to Beau Davidson ‘93 who has been selected as one of the US Jaycees Ten Outstanding Young Americans (TOYA) for 2013.

For 75 years, the United States Jaycees have been honoring 10 men and women under the age of 40 who best exemplify the highest attributes of the nation's emerging young leaders. Davidson joins past recipients Nelson D. Rockefeller, Henry Ford II, Wayne Newton, Miss America Kate Shindle, Presidents Kennedy, Clinton, Ford, Nixon, Teddy Roosevelt, and Elvis Presley. Davidson will accept the award in Seattle this June at the 75th anniversary.

PDS Alum Harrison Williams ’08 broke the state pole vault record by clearing 16-0 at the Ole Miss Invitational.  In addition, Williams, a junior at MUS, placed first in the decathlon at the Arcadia, CA invitational the prior week.  Congratulations to Williams as you continue to reach for the stars!

Congratulations to Gary Wunderlich '08 who has committed to UVA for 2014. Wunderlich, currently a junior at MUS,  is rated the number one kicker and the number one punter in the nation for the 2014 Class by Kohls Kicking Camp.  During his junior season, Wunderlich had 60% touchbacks and averaged over 40 yards per punt.
