Changes to the First 2 Weeks of Summer Camp

The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic is forcing us to make changes to our summer programming. While we hate to cancel camps, we believe the health and safety of our community take precedence. We will continue to keep parents informed as we make decisions and we will announce any other cancellations at least two weeks before the start of a camp.

We will be cancelling or rescheduling the first two weeks of camps. This will include the following:

  • Crusader Care Session 1 (May 26-29): Canceled
  • Humble Heroes Camp (May 26-29): Rescheduled to June 29-July 2
  • Golf Camp (May 26-29): Rescheduled to June 29-July 2
  • 2020 Summer Olympics (May 26-29): Rescheduled to June 29-July 2
  • Crusader Care Session 2 (June 1-5): Canceled
  • Vacation Bible School at Second Presbyterian Church (June 1-4): Canceled

We know this is an uncertain time, so we have updated our Fine Print to reflect new policies regarding COVID-19. Notably, if a camper is unable to attend camp for any reason relating to COVID-19, we will be issuing a full refund, as well as placing the registrant on our Summer 2021 Priority Registration List.

Our Academic and Jumpstart camps are great options for your boys to connect with teachers and get help on summer work and/or prepare for the upcoming year!

New for 2020: Convenient Hours for Working Families

PDS Summer Programs are available for 9 weeks this summer from June 8th-August 7th. We are excited to debut our expanded Camp PDS option, as well as a new program: Crusader Care.

Camp PDS and Crusader Care hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 3:00pm with the exception of Friday, July 3rd. In addition to these all-day offerings, we offer a variety of half-day enrichment camps that can be paired with half a day of Camp PDS or Crusader Care for a reduced rate.

Extended Care is also provided beginning at 7:30am and ending at 5:30pm. For campers attending enrichment offerings in both the morning and afternoon, we offer a supervised lunch period at no additional cost.

Payment and Cancellation Policy

Campers who are students enrolled at PDS will have the option to bill to their student’s account or choose to pay with a credit card. If billed to your student’s account, payment in full will be due June 1st. All registrations after May 15th will be via credit card, and payment in full will be due at the time of registration.

Campers who are not enrolled at PDS must select the pay by credit card option to enroll in camp. Payment in full will be due at the time of registration.

If you need to cancel your camp reservation, a $50 cancellation fee will be deducted from your refund. The $50 cancellation fee will be refunded if a camp is cancelled for any reason related to COVID-19 including, but not limited to, the school is unable to open, restrictions are placed on group sizes, or a registrant or a staff member has tested positive or been exposed and must quarantine. In addition to receiving a complete refund, the registrant’s name will be put on a list for Summer 2021 Priority Registration.

If, one week prior to the first day of camp, registration enrollment is deemed to be insufficient, PDS reserves the right to cancel that camp. If this were to occur, your payment would be refunded in full. Except in the cases of illness or emergency that are disclosed to PDS prior to the start of a camp, refunds will not be given after a camp begins. Unfortunately, PDS is unable to prorate a camp fee for any day(s) your child may miss.
