Update from the Headmaster: Plan for Returning and Retrieving Items

Dear Parents,

We are preparing for the close of the school year. As you know, instruction will continue through Thursday. We hope to see as many PDS families as possible on Friday from 11-12 at our end of the year parade. Next week we need to retrieve PDS owned items and give you belongings that remain at school. We want to be safe as we do this, and we have developed a plan.

Please notice the schedule for pick-up found on below. You will note, there is an available time on Thursday in the early evening if you are not able to come during your scheduled time. If none of these options are possible, please be in contact with your division head (listed below) to arrange a time in the future. Please note: PDS will be closed May 26-29.

Prior to coming to campus

  • Gather all PDS owned items.
  • Place technology for each child in a separate bag labeled with his name.
    • Computer/iPad
    • Charger
    • Case
    • Sleeve
  • Place library books in a bag.

Arrive to campus (please see schedule below)

  • Pull up to the entrance for your oldest son.
    • Early Childhood (YK, JK, PK, SK) will stop at the EC entrance.
    • Grades 1-3 will pull down the carpool lane to stop at the 1st grade lobby.
    • Grades 4-6 will stop at the PDS main entrance.
  • Remain in your car.
  • A PDS teacher will come to your car, retrieve PDS owned items and give you a bag containing your sons items. Included in this bag will be personal supplies, medication, sports awards, summer learning folders, and anything the teachers find at school.
  • We will complete a form to itemize the technology, and you can be on your way.

Thank you for your continued support. Next week I will distribute a document that shows the planning process for the reopening of school on August 19.

Please find the time listed for your oldest son and come to campus to retrieve your family’s items at that time.
