PDS Preview - Fall 2026

Greetings from PDS! There is something uniquely hopeful about August. It marks the beginning of another school year—a season filled with new opportunities, fresh challenges, and countless moments of discovery. Every August reminds us that education is never simply about completing another grade level; it is about another formative year in the life of a boy. Each school year provides a fresh opportunity for boys to learn, grow, strengthen existing friendships, build new ones, and more fully discover the gifts God has given them.

At PDS, we believe these elementary years are among the most important in a boy’s life. Dotted around our campus are several oak trees that you have likely driven past many times. In many ways, these large oaks perfectly symbolize our boys' early years. While the size and strength of such trees are easy to admire, its most vital work happens long before anyone notices its sprawling branches. Years are spent developing deep roots in rich soil before it reaches its full form.

We believe boyhood flourishes in much the same way. The environment surrounding a boy matters. These are the years when faith, character, confidence, curiosity, and a love of learning begin to take root. The relationships he forms, the examples he observes, the challenges he embraces, and the values reinforced day after day all become part of the man he is becoming. That conviction shapes every aspect of life at PDS. From our classrooms and Chapel to the playground, athletic fields, and cherished traditions, we strive to create an environment where boys are known, challenged, encouraged, and loved.

This same philosophy is reflected in one of the most exciting additions to our campus this year: our new dining hall. While we eagerly anticipate opening its doors after Fall Break, we are even more excited about what will happen inside. More than just a place to enjoy lunch, it will serve as another intentionally designed environment to shape our boys. Around the table, they will build friendships, practice gratitude, engage in meaningful conversations, and experience a daily rhythm that contributes to their overall formation. Like every space on our campus, this addition has been thoughtfully designed to support our mission of developing boys in wisdom and stature and in favor with God and man. Whether your family is returning to PDS or joining us for the very first time, welcome. We are profoundly grateful you have entrusted us with your son during these remarkable years, and we look forward to partnering with you. This PDS Preview has been prepared to help your family navigate the exciting months ahead. Within these pages, you will find important dates, school traditions, grade-level information, and practical details for the 2026–27 school year. We encourage you to keep this resource close as you prepare for the days to come.

We cannot wait to welcome the boys back to campus. There is no greater privilege than partnering with your family during these extraordinary years of boyhood. Here’s to a wonderful year ahead!
