Thank You for Support Campus Security Enhancements

Thank You for Support Campus Security Enhancements

‍Thank You, Donors

‍We are deeply grateful for your incredible generosity and your commitment to enhancing security on our campus. We wanted to update you on the progress of the Poplar Avenue security entrance and fencing project and to share the highlights of the current anticipated project timeline.

The Shelby County Board of Adjustment approved the new construction at its meeting two weeks ago. With that green light, we expect construction drawings to be completed by the end of March. Permitting and final pricing for the new construction should be finalized by the end of May. Construction is expected to take six months, with the current anticipated completion date being late November.

Thanks to your generosity, we’ve raised $625,500 in commitments. While that is short of the estimated $1.2 million project cost, we hope that through funds that the school and church had previously committed towards entry signage to the same parking area and potentially some value engineering with the architect/contractor, we may have enough commitments on hand to complete the project. Of course, should you know others who have a particular interest in this project, please feel welcome to encourage them to join you in making a financial commitment to assist in completing this significant security enhancement.

We are eagerly anticipating the completion of these new enhancements, and we are most appreciative of your significant part in making this project possible. We look forward to updating you as we have more details and celebrating its successful completion together.
