Last week, your son penned a note to a future student at PDS. Each student reflected on their unique experiences and envisioned the impact they hope to see on the future of PDS. Together, they imagined the next 30 years and the boys who might attend the school. They pondered on what they would say and hope for these future students. The sixth graders documented things they learned at PDS, memorable experiences from class trips or specific lessons, deep connections with friends, encouraging mentors, coaches, or teachers, and specific prayers for the upcoming class of PDS graduates.
These notes have been collected and will be buried in the foundation of the Security Gatehouse. These hopes and prayers will not only form the physical foundation of the gatehouse but will also symbolize the foundation these boys have established as they prepare to move on from PDS.
