‍5th Grade Parents,
As part of our Virtue Reality program, the 5th grade boys are being asked to bring in bags of candy for the Neighborhood Christian Center's Trunk and Treat Halloween event. Every year the NCC organizes this event for the children and families in their community to have a safe place for trick-or-treating and games. Last year, we were able to donate 138 pounds of candy. This year we are shooting for 200+ pounds. We are attempting to emphasize with our 5th graders the importance of having a giving spirit (while using their own money!) with a humble heart. There will be no rewards or prizes for this other than the reward of learning to realize "it is more blessed to give than to receive". Â
We will be delivering the candy on Thursday, Oct. 24th, so please have it in by Wednesday, Oct. 23rd. All candy is acceptable as long as it's wrapped. Have a great weekend and thank you!
