Dear PDS 6th Grade Parents,
It is hard to believe that in a few short weeks, our boys will be graduating from PDS! Over the past several years, it’s become tradition for the parents of the 6th graders to host a party to honor the graduates and celebrate this special milestone for the boys. 6th grade girls from Hutchison and St. Mary’s are invited to join them. The party will be held Thursday, May 22nd from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the home of Molly and Hunter Witherington.
This is not an official PDS event, just a fun night for our boys to celebrate! In order to cover the costs of the party (DJ, lighting, food, decorations, invitations, etc…) we are asking that each family contribute $65. Please note that all 6th graders are invited, regardless of payment.

Please send your payment by Friday, April 18th.
In order to maximize space for the 6th graders to have fun, please note this is not a parent’s party. BUT, there are many opportunities to be involved in the planning and execution of the event! Please click this link to sign up to help!
Help with Event
Chairs of each volunteer group will handle correspondence with their volunteers about job details. In the meantime, here are some FAQ’s:
- Who is the party for? 2025 PDS Graduates
- Who is invited? 6th graders from PDS, Hutchison, and St. Mary’s.
- Are siblings invited? No siblings please!
- Are parents invited? Kids only please, but there are plenty of opportunities for PDS parents to volunteer.
- What is the attire? School attire for boys (collars and shorts) and party attire for girls (they tend to wear sundresses)
- Can a graduate attend without paying? Every PDS grad is welcome to attend regardless of whether or not his family contributes. This is typically not an issue.
