For boys registering for both morning and afternoon camps, lunch-time supervision is included.

Are you looking to learn or expand upon the art of drums and rhythm? Join Aaron Glazer for 1 on 1, 30 minute drum lessons. You will learn everything from basic rhythms, techniques, and rudiments to how to read music as well as drum set playing. Beginners and those with experience are all welcome as Aaron will meet you where you are. These practices in rhythm and drumming will give you new musical understanding and skills as well as deeper insights into yourself as a budding musician and artist. To start, you will need a practice pad, sticks, a method book, and music stand.

For scheduling, please contact instructor Aaron Glazer directly at aaronglazer1989@gmail.com. He will coordinate your lesson time and confirm details back to PDS.

Because of the nature of this breakfast, each boy must have an adult host in order to attend. If one adult is going to be hosting multiple boys, please enter them as part of a group registration by adding additional registrations to the cart, even if that person has already registered with another boy.

The cost for participating in the Crusader Chess Team is based on full or partial participation.

Full Participation $325 per season
Partial Participation $200 (for boys in Grades 5-6 involved in Crusader athletics)

Do you want to master your chess skills, increase your ranking, play more matches, and learn more strategy? Come to PDS Chess Club to learn and play in friendly competition against one another. Beginner Chess players welcome. We partner with Memphis Chess Club and have two experienced and highly rated certified Chess Instructors working with the boys on all types of chess strategy. Come for lots of learning and loads of fun!

Want to spend time after school exploring and creating? Come to Minecraft Club and build with your friends! In this exciting adventure, you will get to participate in building competitions with other boys, mine for precious resources, and fight off those pesky mobs together! Please note that due to the nature of this camp, campers will have one hour of screen time each meeting.

Be the star of a movie! In fact, be the writer, producer, director, and editor while you’re at it! In the Young Filmmakers Club, you will create your own movie or TV show using iMovie and Apple Clips. You will gain valuable experience working with the program and experiencing all aspects of creating a movie. You will help film Intramural Basketball Games to create a highlight video! You will also be involved in making videos we show in Chapel!

Come join Mrs. Lindsey and Mr. Enterline for some 3D fun. We will use Tinkercad to build and design 3D objects. We will be teaching a new skill each week, leading up to a finished 3D print. You will also create a personalized keychain for your backpack. This class is for beginners and advanced creators.

Crusader Café is back for another year. Crusader Café is held during lunchtime and is a time where a boy can showcase his musical talents to his peers and others. Once again this year, we will be dining and entertaining everyone in the Fellowship Hall.

Want to continue working on your basketball skills while playing pickup basketball with your friends? We will focus on playing with fundamentals as we play 5 vs 5 basketball. We will start our time together working on fundamentals (shooting, dribbling, passing, zone defense, man defense, balance, teamwork) and then play 5 on 5 pickup the majority of the time. We will also have multiple types of contests and a tournament! Come have fun with your friends while you improve your basketball skills!
