As most of you know, your son actively participates in a mentor group of four to five boys led by our male faculty members. There have been some great discussions of the first few chapters of our book, Flight Plan.
We are nearing Chapter 8, which discusses Biology and the Bible, puberty, and God’s design for sex. We WILL NOT attempt to discuss this chapter in our mentor groups, partly because some of our coaches are just plain scared but mainly because we want you to have this opportunity. I can assure you that your son has already read parts of Chapter 8. We encourage you to read and discuss Chapter 8 at home with your son.
On Friday, January 23rd, I will lead our BBMM forum with your sons at
2:00. The topic will be on Chapter 8. I will follow the chapter closely and
leave time for questions and discussion.
Please mark May 15th on your calendar for the Father/Son Retreat to Victory
Ranch. (Rain date May 18th) This is a one-day retreat that I can guarantee will be one of the most memorable times you spend with your son.
