Stephanie Anderson

5th Grade Math Teacher
We are excited to have Stephanie Anderson teaching math to all of our 5th grade boys this school year. Whether teaching or serving schools in leadership roles, Stephanie has been an educator in Memphis for close to 30 years. She is a familiar face to many due to her long tenure teaching fourth and fifth grade at St. Mary’s Episcopal School. Stephanie holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Christian Brothers University and a Master of Arts in Teaching from the University of Memphis. In 2011, she was a fellow at the Peabody Institute for Independent School Leadership at Vanderbilt University. Stephanie and her husband, Mark, are parents to Connor and Hallie. Stephanie is ready to jump into the all-boy world at PDS, and we are lucky to have her!

Michele Dennis

5th and 6th Small Group Math
Michele Dennis will join PDS this fall as the 5th and 6th grade small group math teacher. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from The University of Memphis. Most known for her long tenure at Hutchison teaching fourth and fifth-grade math, Michele has been an educator in Memphis for 30 years. While Michele has taught all girls for quite some time, she is eager to transition to teaching all boys at PDS. Michele and her husband, Reed, are parents to two grown children, Preston and Ellen. As the mother of a PDS alum, Michele knows that PDS is a special place for boys and looks forward to experiencing a different side of the school. We are eager to have her on our team!

Charlotte Everett

3rd Grade Teacher
Charlotte will join the 3rd grade team as school begins in August. Charlotte holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Eastern Illinois University and a Master of Arts in Teaching from Rockford University. Charlotte comes to us with over twenty years teaching experience, having most recently taught third grade in Fairfield, Illinois. She and her husband, Mike, are parents to two grown children, Reece and Parker. Charlotte enjoys spending time with her family, working out, and reading in her spare time. She is excited about her family’s adventure to a new city and looks forward to getting to know all the PDS boys!

Lucy Fiedler

3rd/4th Small Group Math Teacher
Lucy will join the 3rd and 4th grade teams this fall teaching small-group math. Lucy holds a Bachelor of Arts in Education and a Master of Education from The University of Mississippi. Lucy has had the opportunity to work with multiple grade levels in elementary schools across Oxford and Memphis. While at The University of Mississippi, Lucy was active in her sorority, Delta Delta Delta, and was an avid volunteer.

Parkicha French

Young Knights Teacher
Parkicha French was born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee. She graduated from the University of Memphis with a bachelor’s degree in education and a dual minor in English and sociology. She has over eight years of teaching experience in early childhood. She was most recently in the PDS nursery and is excited to be joining the YK team for the 2022-2023 school year. She has two older siblings, a nephew, and family pets. As a family, they love to travel.

Kristen Griffith

Advancement Assistant
Previously having taught Junior Kindergarten at PDS, Kristen is rejoining our faculty as the Advancement Assistant. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Arkansas as well as a Master of Arts degree in Teaching from Christian Brothers University. Kristen and her husband, Alex, have three children: Banks (2nd), Hunt (1st), and Drew (PK). She enjoys baking, playing tennis, running, and traveling with her family.

Chris Oliver

Chief Advancement Officer
Chris is a native Memphian. He and his wife Kandis have three sons (Cohen, Jonah, and Jude). The Olivers are members of Downtown Church. Before coming to PDS, Chris has worked at New Hope Christian Academy, Alcy Ball Development Corporation, and Advance Memphis. Chris earned a master’s from The University of Mississippi, his bachelor’s from Middle Tennessee State, and was a Memphis Fellow at Second Presbyterian Church. He enjoys biking, camping and the outdoors, playing soccer, and cheering on local sports teams.

Mary Holland Morris

Young Knights Teacher
Mary Holland is re-joining the PDS faculty as a Young Knights teacher. After graduating from Hutchison School she completed a degree in Human Development and Family Studies from Mississippi State University, with a concentration in Child Life. Previously she was a Certified Child Life Specialist at Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital, working most closely with the infant and toddler patient populations. Mary Holland and her husband Derek have a son, Thomas, and a daughter, Anna Francis. She loves to cook and bake, and is set to run her 9th half marathon next winter! Her family are members of Harvest Memphis, and are deeply involved in the preschool and children’s ministry there.

Diane Perry

4th Grade ELA Teacher
Diane is joining the 4th grade team this year as an English/Language Arts teacher. Diane holds both a Bachelor of Arts in Education from The University of Memphis and Master of Education from Union University. Diane comes to us with over 18 years teaching experience across several schools serving our local community. Most recently she taught fourth grade at Dogwood Elementary. While there she was honored several times as Teacher of the Year. Diane considers herself a lifelong learner and is currently pursuing her second graduate degree (Master of Divinity). Along with her two children, Connor and Ava, Diane is always seeking adventure and finding ways to volunteer in her church. Diane has incredible experience teaching fourth-grade students, and we know she will have a great impact on PDS boys.

Ivy Phillips

4th Grade ELA Teacher
We are so pleased to have Ivy returning to PDS this fall as a 4th grade ELA teacher. Ivy has been a familiar face for some time at PDS. She has previously taught 5th grade ELA at PDS and served as an interim teacher in both 4th and 6th grade. Before teaching at PDS, Ivy taught English at Hutchison. Ivy holds a Bachelor of Arts in Education from The University of Mississippi and a Master of Education from Vanderbilt University. Ivy is married to John, and they have three boys, John (1st grade), Edward (JK), and Davis (JK). Ivy enjoys spending time with her family and exploring new activities with her boys. We’re thrilled to have Ivy back at PDS this fall!

Allyson Russell

Senior Kindergarten Associate Teacher
A native Memphian, Allyson Russell holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with a minor in Educational Psychology from Mississippi State University. She is excited to be joining the SK team as an associate for the 2022-2023 school year. When she is not working, she enjoys kayaking and painting.

Luke Wise

Physical Education
Originally from Jackson, Mississippi, Luke attended Davidson College where he served as a manager on the men’s basketball team then received his Bachelor of Arts from Millsaps College in Economics. Luke is beginning at PDS after three years of teaching and coaching middle school boys basketball in Jackson.
