Crusader Coders: PDS Robotics Teams Excel at FIRST LEGO League Competition
We are thrilled to recognize the incredible achievement of our Robotics teams at the recent FIRST® LEGO® League competition!
Competing against 30 teams from across the area, our two teams demonstrated exceptional skill, creativity, and teamwork throughout the event.
Liam Shappley, David Kim, David Bradford, Austin Kim, T Thompson, Leighton Marlar, Theo Shin, and Jude Oliver won 1st Place in the timed robot runs with a score of 290. Their robot excelled in the challenge missions, showcasing precise design, reliable programming, and strategic execution under pressure. They also received 2nd place overall.
Vibav Adatrow, Aariz Nansiyani, Ronstein Kurusanthony, Webb Wilson, Isaiah Page, Hadley Arrindell, Avett Tollison, and Theo Akhigbe took 3rd place overall.
Overall rankings reflect a combination of scores from multiple areas of evaluation, not just robot performance, but also the students’ research innovation project and their commitment to the FIRST Lego League Core Values.
