All grades listed are for the 2020–2021 school year. Admission is granted to qualified campers in the order in which our database receives your registration. Registration will remain open online until a week prior to the first day of camp unless a registration deadline is specifically stated. Many classes fill up, so we encourage you to enroll early.
Pre-Kindergarten campers must be 3 years of age by June 1st, 2020. However, in the case of Vacation Bible School with Second Presbyterian Church, they must be 3 years of age by January 1st, 2020. If they are too young to attend VBS, alternate care will be provided. All campers attending enrichment camps must be potty-trained.
Extending Summer to YK
Boys who are enrolled in the PDS YK program for the 2020-2021 school year are eligible to attend Camp PDS and Crusader Care with our new, age-appropriate curriculum. In addition, 2-year-old family members of current or incoming PDS students are eligible to attend Camp PDS and Crusader Care. Two-year-old campers must be 2 by June 1st, 2020.
All registrations will be processed online at pdsmemphis.org/summer and a confirmation email will be sent to you when you have correctly completed the registration process.
Campers who are students enrolled at PDS will have the option to bill to their student’s account or choose to pay with a credit card. If billed to your student’s account, payment in full will be due June 1st. All registrations after May 15th will be via credit card, and payment in full will be due at the time of registration. Campers who are not enrolled at PDS must select the pay by credit card option to enroll in camp. Payment in full will be due at the time of registration.
If you need to cancel your camp reservation, a $50 cancellation fee will be deducted from your refund.
If, one week prior to the first day of camp, registration enrollment is deemed to be insufficient, PDS reserves the right to cancel that camp. If this were to occur, your payment would be refunded in full. Except in the cases of illness or emergency that are disclosed to PDS prior to the start of a camp, refunds will not be given after a camp begins. Unfortunately, PDS is unable to prorate a camp fee for any day(s) your child may miss.
Family Package & Sibling Discount
PDS offers two summer discounts to accommodate various situations.
For families attending four or more weeks of camp, we offer a Family Package discount.
Once all children have been registered, we will calculate the number of complete weeks your family has registered for. We will consider two half-week options as a full week, even if they are not on the same calendar week. Whether you are registering one child or multiple, the Family Package discount will reflect the total number of full and half week options all children are registered for, excluding Vacation Bible School. The discount is available for those who register before May 15, 2020.
- 10% off for 4–7 complete weeks of camp
- 15% off for 8 or more complete weeks of camp
Families enrolling in fewer than 4 full weeks of camp or who register after the May 15 Family Package cut-off date are eligible for the Sibling Discount. The Sibling Discount is $10 off per family per week.
Camp PDS/Crusader Care Plus Half-Day Enrichment Camp Discount
PK–6th-grade campers attending half-day camps may enroll in Camp PDS or Crusader Care for the other half of the day for an additional fee of $85 per week. Campers will be transitioned between camps. PK campers utilizing this option during the afternoon should bring a blanket or mat cover for a rest period.
Before Camp Care is available to registered campers from 7:30–9:00am for an additional charge of $30 per week. Campers must be registered for a camp beginning at 9:00am to attend Before Camp Care.
After Camp Care is available to registered campers from 3:00–5:30pm for an additional charge of $60 per week. Campers must be registered for a camp ending at 3:00pm or 4:00pm to attend After Camp Care. Campers picked up past 5:30pm will be charged a $25 late fee. After 5:35pm, an additional late fee of $5 per minute will apply.
An option for Before and After Camp Care is included on the form when you register for a camp. You may add this option after your original registration here.
After Care and Before Care drop-off and pick-up are located at the main school entrance. Before and after camp care is not available for camps off of the PDS campus.
Drop-Off and Dismissal Locations
If a camper is attending a camp held in the Early Childhood building, drop-off and dismissal will be at the Early Childhood entrance or playground. If a camper is attending a camp held in the Elementary building or in the gym, drop-off and dismissal will be at the main school entrance.
Appropriate entrances will be signposted. For the safety and security of all participants, campers who arrive prior to 10 minutes before the start of camp, will be taken to Before-Camp Care and charged the $30 fee for the week. Campers attending only a morning camp who have not been picked up by 10 minutes after their camp session ends, will be escorted to Camp PDS or Crusader Care and charged a $35 drop-in fee. Campers attending an afternoon or full-day camp who have not been picked up by 10 minutes after their camp session ends, will be escorted to After-Camp Care and charged a $25 drop-in fee.
Lunch and Drinks
Students attending a full-day camp or two half-day sessions will need to bring a sack lunch each day. Snacks and water will be provided.
For students attending both morning and afternoon enrichment offerings, there will be a supervised lunch hour between the sessions for no additional fee, but please check the box on the registration form for the free lunch supervision option so that we can plan adequate supervision.
It is expected that every camper attending PDS Summer Camp follows school procedures and standards of behavior. Consideration of others in thought and action is expected. PDS reserves the right to require the withdrawal of any camper who poses a discipline problem or a disruption to the learning process. No refunds will be issued for campers who are asked to withdraw.
T-shirt, shorts, socks and athletic shoes are most appropriate. Sandals are allowed, but athletic shoes are required for gym and field activities.
