  • Crusader Football

For Grades: 5th Grade 6th Grade

    IMPORTANT - Schedule Conflict

Due to conflicting schedules, if you choose to participate in the 6th grade Crusader football program, you will NOT be allowed to participate on the 6th grade Crusader cross country team or tennis team.

Please register your son by July 15th.

We will offer a 5th grade and a 6th grade Crusader football team. Our PDS coaches will be coaching these teams with Mark Fruitt heading up the 5th Grade team and Garret Harrison heading up the 6th Grade team.

The Crusaders are competitive level teams and are for boys that want more games and practices in addition to the PDS Intramural football league. There are no tryouts, however playing time is not guaranteed. Therefore, these teams may not be for everyone. Because both programs compliment each other, Crusader football players are strongly encouraged to also play in the PDS Intramural football league.

    Cost

The cost for playing Crusader football is $250.00 and will be billed to your PDS account. This fee will help pay for the league expenses, referees, uniforms, team pictures and the end of the year sports banquet.

    Games and Practices

Boys will be in shorts, t-shirts, and helmets on the first day of practice. The rest of the week the boys will be in full pads. A complete game and practice schedule will be announced once sign-ups are completed with practices starting the week of August 9th.

    Equipment

All players should provide their own shoulder pads, white football pants, cleats, and white helmet for practice. Players will also be able to use this equipment for Intramural Football as well. The school will provide the game uniform and game helmet for Crusaders.
