
Each course has a minimum and maximum number of students listed in the course description. I encourage you to look at your calendars and sign-up for classes that are interesting to you and your son. Some classes may fill rather quickly — don’t delay.

Crusader Chess Team
Chess is more than just a game; it's a way to build critical thinking, patience, and lifelong friendships.
The cost for participating in the Crusader Chess Team is based on full or partial participation.
Full Participation $325 per season
Partial Participation $200 (for boys in Grades 5-6 involved in Crusader athletics)
This fee covers all team activities and competitions.

Calling all authors and comic-book lovers! We will be creating comic-books, designing covers with marble paper, and talking about storylines. Students will participate in a 3-session course creating their own comic-books and learning about illustration.

Do you want to master your chess skills, increase your ranking, play more matches, and learn more strategy? Come to PDS Chess Club to learn and play in friendly competition against one another. Beginner Chess players welcome. We partner with Memphis Chess Club and have two experienced and highly rated certified Chess Instructors working with the boys on all types of chess strategy. Come for lots of learning and loads of fun!

January Sculpture with Ms. Patterson and Mrs. Rudzena
Students will meet for three sessions in January- 1/15/26, 1/22/26, and 1/29/26, to create and explore various types of sculpture! They will bring home all creations after the final session. We love creating a space to encourage their problem solving and imagination!

Want to spend time after school exploring and creating? Come to Minecraft Club and build with your friends! In this exciting adventure, you will get to participate in building competitions with other boys, mine for precious resources, and fight off those pesky mobs together! Please note that due to the nature of this camp, campers will have one hour of screen time each meeting.

Be the star of a movie! In fact, be the writer, producer, director, and editor while you’re at it! In the Young Filmmakers Club, you will create your own movie or TV show using iMovie and Apple Clips. You will gain valuable experience working with the program and experiencing all aspects of creating a movie. You will help film Intramural Basketball Games to create a highlight video! You will also be involved in making videos we show in Chapel!

Little Padawans will embark on their first steps toward becoming Jedi! Campers will learn about lightsabers and practice teamwork missions designed to teach courage, kindness, and focus—just like real Jedi Knights.

Afternoons in the Library - Session 3
Join Mrs. Stenberg for Afternoons in the Library, session 3! This three-week camp will feature a different Library favorite each week and will include a group read-aloud, craft, and activity to go along with each story.

Do you like building, creating, and solving cool challenges? Then come join our fun robotics club!
You’ll get the chance to learn all about the Lego Robotics League, try out real coding, and work together with friends to solve fun problems. This is not a competition team; it’s all about having fun, learning new skills, and exploring robotics in a low-pressure, creative environment.
Whether you’ve built robots before or you’re brand-new, this club is the perfect place to experiment, collaborate, and let your imagination take over.
