PDS offers an after-school care program from your son’s class dismissal time until 5:30pm for grades YK–6, the day-to-day runnings of which are handled by a trained staff consisting mostly of young adults and college students, who answer to the Director of Auxiliary Programs.

Since class dismissal times are staggered, Early Childhood students (YK-SK) who have an older sibling at PDS will be able to enroll in the program and attend AfterCare until the older sibling is dismissed. The younger sibling will be picked up by an AfterCare assistant at his specific dismissal time and join aftercare until his older sibling dismissal time.

Come join the fun with Wings Gymnastics! Students will learn and improve tumbling and gymnastics skills on floor, bar, and trampoline. Young athletes will develop strength, coordination, flexibility, and focus in a fun, encouraging, and safe environment.

After more than a decade of stability or improvement, the mental health of adolescents plunged in the early 2010s. Rates of depression, anxiety, self-harm, and suicide rose sharply, more than doubling on many measures. Why?
Join us a for a study of The Anxious Generation: How the Great Rewiring of Childhood Is Causing an Epidemic of Mental Illness by Jonathan Haidt.
Led by PDS' Jenny Stenberg, Emily Lequerica, and Darilyn Christenbury, the study will take place over 3 sessions offered from 11:30–1:00 on Tuesdays in the Library starting on September 17. Attendees are welcome to bring a lunch.

Young Knights Pre-Kindergarten
Come explore in our classroom filled with dinosaurs. We will make a craft, have a snack, play with plastic dinosaurs big and small, learn about different types of dinosaurs, and work dinosaur puzzles. This is a two part adventure. The next date will be October 1, 2024. We will send another post and form home for another $35 fee.

Boys & Girls Young Knights Pre-Kindergarten
Bring a friend and join us for a night of movies and fun! We will have recreational time with friends before the movie fun begins! Boys and Girls in YK and PK.
We will have Little Caesar’s pizza and popcorn for the movie. We are looking forward to a fun night with your child!
