Chess is more than just a game; it's a way to build critical thinking, patience, and lifelong friendships.

The cost for participating in the Crusader Chess Team is based on full or partial participation.

Full Participation $325 per season
Partial Participation $200 (for boys in Grades 5-6 involved in Crusader athletics)

This fee covers all team activities and competitions.

Do you like Legos, robotics, and coding? If so, join PDS’ Lego Robotics Team!

The First Lego League allows 5th and 6th graders to design, build, and program a Lego Prime robot to complete “missions” on a table-top playing field. In addition, each team will research and present on a real-world problem and solution according to the competition theme of the year.

Schedule: Weekly Monday meetings starting September 30th from 3:10–4:00. There will be additional afterschool meetings starting in January to prepare for the competition. *Boys may also meet during lunch and PE times.

Because of the nature of this breakfast, each boy must have an adult host in order to attend. If one adult is going to be hosting multiple boys, please enter them as part of a group registration by adding additional registrations to the cart, even if that person has already registered with another boy.

We are never too young to make a difference! In this second of 4 service opportunities this year (on Veteran’s Day), students will learn about places where military serve around the world and how we can honor their service. As a project, we will decorate pillowcases, signs, and banners with patriotic themes to send to military members stationed overseas (supply fee included in cost of class).

We are never too young to make a difference! In this third of 4 service opportunities this year, students will discuss all the ways that senior citizens enrich our families and our community. We will make Valentine happies with flowers and cards to deliver to a local senior living community.
