Many elementary students suffer a relapse in reading and math skills during the summer months. Therefore, PDS asks families to make reading and review of math skills a priority by weaving these important endeavors into their summer schedule of activities. Prior to the end

of the school year, rising 1st through 6th graders receive information about the requirements for both reading and math. Each boy must return his summer reading portfolio and math assignments on the first day of school in August.
